I'm trying to troubleshoot a Sony Bravia KDL-40S4100 (ca. 2008), which has developed a series of color vertical bars on the right edge of the screen - like this: Supposedly, this series of Sony TV's from 2007-2008 are prone to defective T-Con boards which can cause this type of problem. I disassembled the TV to get the correct part number off the T-Con board, and while I was at it I checked & cleaned all the flex cable connections just to rule out oxidation, etc. The problem persists, of course.
